GI Helmet liner info. wanted

Are these old GI helmet liners worth anything to anybody? I was told it was Canadian Army from Korean War period, but I don't know how you can tell that...seems doubtful to me. I was just curious whether or not its worth the bother to try and sell it, ship it, etc...or is it just something you give away to a kid to play soldier with?

Its hard to tell from this angle, but I think you may have a WW2 or Korean War era helmet liner, definitely US made. Is there an air vent hole in front and there should be a makers mark inside at the top underneath the webbing. Canada did use American made M1 Helmets and liners, surplus from WW2 and after. This could either be original US never issued to Canada or original US and then surplussed to our Army in the mid to late 50's.

I'm pretty positive it's a WW2 high pressure early (1942) liner with zinc hardware. The liner sweatband is in the wrong spot. Probably about a $50 to $80 worth on todays militaria market.
 
I looked harder and found a Crown over a "40" at the inside top. I found some markings on the webbing. Does any of this mean anything to anyone? Some is a little hard to see so some letters may be wrong.

You're correct, it's an early WWII U.S. M1 helmet liner with unpainted A washers. The green zinc hardware came later.

Combine it with a fixed bail M1 steel pot and you'd have a decent example of an early WWII U.S. M1 Helmet.

The sweat band is incorrectly installed and missing the leather but the liner itself looks pretty decent, with an original nape strap still in place. The exterior of the liner is re-painted but would look fine once inside a steel pot.

Not worth huge money, but someone could probably use this to restore a WWII M1 helmet if you offer it for sale. All things considered, it's probably worth about $40 but maybe more to a motivated buyer.

There should be a makers mark in the crown of the liner.
Some makers are quite hard to find, others are very common. If memory serves me right there should be about 7 High Pressure liner makers.
Westinghouse, Inland, Capac, Firestone, Seaman Paper Products, Mine Safety Appliances, International Molded Products.
Some of the low production makers command higher values then the common makers.
