Hi guys, I would like to put gi sight on my ruger 10-22, the front sight would be this one: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/sights/front-sights/ruger-10-22-front-sight-prod42911.aspx

Now the problem: I want this rail on my rifle : http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/UTG-Scout-Slim-Rail-for-Ruger-10-22-Rfls-With-26-Slots-MNT-R22SS26-New-/390647436102?hash=item5af466d346

Which sight I should use at the rear ?

I have Trueshot Bravo irons on my TD. The rear sight has a picitinny rail built in so no good for scout scope mount but if you're not firm on a scout setup it's worth a look. I bought a KNS SKS/AK front post sight pack and love the medium ball post for a front sight for under 50yrds. I may end up putting the smallest on just to see what I can do with that at 50yrds.

Ended up running about $175 all-in for sights and posts so not cheap, also there's no click adjustments for windage but that wasn't a must have for me.

yeah my first idea was to put tech sight, but I want a barrel shroud, and it screws on the receiver..

If you run any BUIS it will sit too high in the rear. My M1 rear sights on my 10/22 wasn't any more then 1/2" high. If your so soaked on that rail you run out of options..

There are picatinny low mount(not for ARs) rear sights, necg has em for example, but afaik you'd be spear heading the testing.
A tech sight front sight, and a necg rear sight would be a combo to try.
Maybe get a rear sight off a su16 to try with the tech sight front.

The ones I had only the aperture flipping it between small and large was the only elevation. It was calibrated for a set range. Also that rail and a low profile rear sight would be twice or maybe the high. So might not zero.

Damn  Any idea for anoder barrel shroud?

You could only mount the front 2 screw in the rail/receiver. Then mark and cut the rail leaving space and 2 holes to mount the tech rear sight if your set in running that rail.

Tech sight front sights have elevation adjustment. Enough? not a clue.

This is the su16 rear, considering there's a 10/22 tech sight that fits the stock weaver rail, this su16 sight shouldn't be all that high in comparison.

Barrel shroud? You trying to make your 10-22 into a sort of M1 Carbine like look?

If so I would second the Techsights option as being about as M1 like as you're going to find readily. And the amount that the sighting line is elevated with the combination linked to by RobertMcC will easily leave you room enough to fit a top wood shroud.

More like upper handguard scout rail that attaches using the 4 drilled holes and extends out.

The tech sight your thinking of mounts on the ruger new duel purpose rail they use. Its weaver and 3/8" dovetail.

Only way around would he need to mount a weaver to dovetail adapter like this. But not sure if it would allow the front sight enough elevation.

Honestly the rear sight wasn't that high..

New idea, if you have a bull barrel, .75 diameter, maybe clamp an ar gas block front sight to it.
Might be high enough for a normal ar15 rear?

You can achieve this look, just don't use the UTG scout rail. Get the Amega Ranges rail instead, plus the front and rear sights from Nodak Spud:

Brownell's sells all the above, but the Nodak Spud rear sight appears to be out of stock at the moment.
