Gibbs 1903A4 clone

I would buy a Gibbs rifle. I would NOT buy a Mitchell Arms rifle because I don't like being lied to.

Having said that regardless of some opinions I think we all agree that the real thing (sniper - regardless of model or type) is no longer a tangible or affordable item for the milsurp enthusiast that has dreamt of owning one since he was a 10-year old (me included). Simply unaffordable for me although I'm closing 40 years in age.

What Gibbs is doing here is offering a modern replica that is no more expensive than some of the upper class M1 Garands and springfield M1A I've seen sold here on CGN.

I'd love to have one of these in my collection.

We used to be able to say that parts made in China were of low quality. The most recent batch of Poly M14S rifles are of extremely high quality. I don't buy this argument anymore. Optics or otherwise.

I doubt very much the US State Department would issue an Export permit for a Sniper's Rifle anymore even a copy of a 65 year one.
