Thanks for the welcome.
I hear ya on the "hide the wallet" thing.
On my wish list is a nice Browning A bolt 30:06 yup a dream
and I gots this lingering interest in black powder.
Mostly because they "had" a deer season for it in december.
wish they'd bring it back. I prefer to hunt deer with the
greater possibilty of snow on the ground.
I like to hunt upland game and deer
in the Calaobgie area

Two or three times a year, there are meetings at the EOHC (friendly shooting competition). Also, once in a while, folks from the area try to meet at the Stittsville shooting range.

This is a great place to learn everything you wanted to know about guns, and especially about the politics that will affect us owning and enjoying our private property.
I am in the Ottawa area too....luckily outside the expanded city limits...so far anyway.
Am a member of Grenville Fish & Game - very nice facilities there - a bit south of Ottawa but not far from the 416.
Have also shot at Eastern Ontario Handgun Club - far enough away from houses to avoid complaints.

Welcome to CGN, I'm from across the river in Aylmer, Shooting at the Canaught Ranges with the NCRRA, great bunch of ppl, received a warm welcome from them. I do mostly Service Rifles and Target Shoots.
