Gilding metal fouling.

Hi.
Is there a special way to get rid of gilding metal in a gun barrel; most of my surplus ammo bullets are made with that kind of metal. Needs your lights about that problem.Thanks.

You need to use a solvent designed to remove copper fouling. These normally contain ammonia or a similar chemical which reacts with the copper wash in your bore to remove it. Gilding metal is in large part copper. Most of these solvents are put in, left for a short period of time, then swabbed out and cleaned with normal gun solvent.
