So I'm thinking on ", pulling the trigger" on this case trimmer, seems the reviews are good, & I'm a "but once, cry once" kinda consumer. I'm loading 300 WIN MAG, 6.5 PRC. I'm hoping for "no" buyers remorse & a good investment. Thanks in advance. Cheers

I have three Giraud Tri-Way trimmers which are very well made and a huge time saver (the one I use for .223 has thousands of cases through it). I think I should have bought the Power Case Trimmer instead as it has many more caliber options.

I have it for almost 10 yrs, very happy with it, no regrets., 223, 308, 6.5x47 and 6 br. I bought individual case holder with lock rings and blade assembly, no more messing with the setting

And it will fly off the shelves, even at that price point. Shooters have money and they like spending it. Why buy a Dillon 750, when you can have Mark 7, or a ProChrono when you can have a Garmin etc. People are addicted to spending money. Unfortunately, most spend money they don't have or can't afford to spend. Such is life! As for me, I'll never own a sports car, boat, or other luxury items, but I'll be retiring at the age of 50, and I won't have to work another day of my life.

OP: As for the trimmer, go for it. Definitely one of the better units currently available.

How is it cheaper than the Henderson? Its listed at MidwayUSA for $619 (coming soon, not in stock), vs $439 for Henderson from their website?

Found a Canadian Dealer listing it:

$1100!?!? Holy ####!
I priced out a Henderson about a month ago. It was going to be about $1700 CAD. Compare to Hornady at $1100. That's a huge price savings.

You are pricing the Henderson wrong on the web store. You have to add enough "add ons" to actually make it useful, which means adding cutters in all the practical calibers you might ever trim. And then add shipping from the States and the brokerage charge.

I have had a Giraud power case trimmer going on 10 years now. I can't even guess how many hundreds of thousands of casings I have trimmed with it. Changing cartridge casing tooling is a bit involved but not rocket science.
I know nothing of the Henderson or the new offering from Hornady.

I see one for sale in Canada for $1300 at rangesports.ca

And for $1300 you have the ability to trim precisely ZERO cartridges. Add $100 for every caliber you want to trim.
It doesn't even come with the bin to drop the cartridges into - which is a very important component - for $1300.

The bin is a make it or break part it seems.

It takes time to adjust the blend cutter's position and angle when you set it up for your batch/log of brass.
If you have many different lot/calibers, you either buy additional cutter set to save time or I personally use the Lyman case prep xpress center for chamfer and debur using their VLD tool head for something quick and I don't trim my brass that often if it is within spec.

Giraud is a great trimmer!

One trick is to get locking die rings to keep your case holder adjustments the same as you swap between cartridges.

Or if you want to get really fancy, an adjustable ring like what Whidden sells.
