I recently had the chance to test my giraud tri-way trimmers for 223 and 308.

They work really well.
I use them in a drill press.
I did my 100 308 cases yesterday in around 5 minutes. A pace of 20 per minute is possible if you don't care about the half-turn to get the even bevel all around (example, bulk 223).
Does a good job and case have a nice bevel all around

You can do 600-1200 per hour depending on your pace. The 223 get trimmed as fast as I can shove them in with both hands.

Main use is quick trimming thousands of 223, but it's so nice that I bought one for 308 also just to save the trouble of having to deal with something else.

Its that bad? I have one for 7mm and it does its job. Primary method is a le Wilson but for the $12, the lee seems fine

It was running rough today for some reason after the first 30 or so rounds and the last 20 took longer (and were harder to do) than the first 30 did. Not sure what was going on but I was getting mighty annoyed near the end.

I would have jumped on a powered trimmer right afterwards -- be it the Giraud or the Lee Zip Trim -- if I hadn't already invested in a few quick trim dies for the Lee Quick Trim tool.

Thanks for the review. Did you have problems with the trimming being out of spec on some cases? What's the accuracy range?

all +- .001 I would say. If you spend the time to go slowly and do a half turn, they will be all pretty close to perfect. I use a power trimmer because I want to trim fast so I don't really bother... I shove them in as fast as I can and they are all +- .001 thats ok for me.
