Girlfriend wants to Turkey hunt

So kinda funny story,

My girlfriend and I were talking guns and shooting, and she told me she doesn't like hunting game, except for a turkey hunt. I've been out of the hunting scene for several years (though I still go into the sticks with my father and friends for the fun). I'm just wondering what the closest area to the Lower mainland would be for a turkey hunt - Anything closer than South Carolina?

I figure maybe we'll make a week of it and do a road trip down south, what type of season is typical for turkey hunting?
 
It helps to have your location in your profile so we can give you accurate information. I know for a fact that SC has great Spring turkey hunting. However, it won't be cheap. Just google turkey hunting in the area of your choice & you will get all the info you can handle :D.
 
I know for a fact there are turkeys in the Cranbrook area of B.C. as I heard them running around sounding ridiculous in the trees while I was doing some geological mapping for school.

Unfortunately I am not much of a source for further info as I am not a local to the area...
