Hey all,
so, im looking for an inexpensive pistol basically just for range plinking fun, and someone recommended the girsan beretta copy. Ive never heard of Girsan, but the owner says they are used by Turkish police and armed forces, and claims he has 8,000 rounds fired through his, without a firearm induced failure (cleaned and lubed after every range visit). Are these actually a good buy at $480.00 ??

Do a search for girsan, just expand the search time frame from the default and you'll find a few threads on them, and some very HQ pics one person posted of his. Most owners seem quite happy with them from what I've read.

$450 if you shop around....I'm enjoying my pair, I like my full size better then my rail compact but its growing on me.

I have one also. Love it. Just got a d Spring in it and taking it to the range soon :) . Its a really nice feeling gun.

I looked at them to get one. I will. Its higher quality and smoother that Beretta. i looked at compact version. Yes and factory beretta 92 and 96 mags fit so there is another benefit of getting easy mags. I say go for it if you like it.

I love my Girsan Regard. I've had it since May and not one ftf or fte with factory or handload, round nose or flat point. Being a woman, I wanted a pretty gun.

European Arms in vancouver is the importer, and I have already inquired about the mc1911....no answer back from them. As for the MC Regard, love mine. 2k rounds through it with no issues at all. Digging the wood berretta grips on yours kschneider, looks smokin.

I shot a friends;he stripped it to show me,beautiful gun.Good feel, balance and trigger, but I'm no expert. I found the DA pull long though - no big deal. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one for the price. He's had no problem with it.

I just received one. I am not generally a fan of clones, however, the quality of this pistol is on par with Beretta. I compared it to both Beretta Italy and Beretta USA pistols I own and found the quality, fit and finish on par with Beretta. For the money, this pistol is a bargain.

A few years ago I purchased an Italian M92FS. My friend recently purchased a Girsan Yavuz. We decided to take both to the range and compare them. After a few shooting sessions we determined that both pistols are comparable in quality and accuracy. The Beretta factory magazines and the Girsan magazines are perfectly compatible in both guns (no surprise there). I will say that certain parts of both guns are made of varying materials, in my opinion this doesn't diminish the quality, just a different focus on fit and finish. Both pistols have a long smooth double action trigger pull and a crisp reset. Neither gun had a stoppage during our comparison shoots. Knowing what I know now about the Girsan, I would certainly go out and buy one if I were in the market for a 9mm. Its every bit as much bang for the buck as the Beretta. That being said, if I had the extra cash I would go with the Beretta based on its beautiful finish. In conclusion the only real difference between the two is visible when you lay both down on a table next to one another. The Beretta looks like its worth $750 and the Girsan looks like its worth $499.
