Hello North Sylva Co!

I purchased a Girsan MC1911C optic ready pistol before the ban hammer dropped from one of your stocking dealers. Alas as I am a fair weather shooter I just recently pulled it out of its slumber to install an optic on it to find no optics plates of any kind in the case.
Perhaps you could help direct me to where I could acquire optics plates for this fine piece of Turkish delight. Specifically looking for plates to mount either a Vortex Venom or a Holosun 407k.

Any help from you fine folks would be grand!

Thanks in advance,
Standingtall

Nothing yet from the retailer, the distributor, or the manufacturer (who I was advised to contact by the only reply I've had from anyone, the retailer)
Apparently there is a distinct lack of product support.
I'm kind of turned off now with the whole thing and will definitely be looking at whom is involved in product support and customer service with any future firearms purchase. Shame really, it's a beautiful pistol and I will still be shooting it... But I feel I wasted the extra money for an optics ready that I can't put optics on.

I haven't had any help from any distributor or optics manufacturers when looking for a holosun 509acss plate. I had to import a plate stateside as my last resort. If you find one in stock see what astech armoury can do for you them the link and theyll give you a cost. Or look to turkey theres a guy on instagram that makes abunch and has a site see if he can help.you out. https://l.instagram.com/?u=https://...8hAKJ7f1F47yrW6bti4pM8A4HnF2AVAR03NgUkTJICkyw

I have yet to hear anything back other than "we are talking to Girsan about plates".
So until it happens, I shall replace the sights with a fiber front and an adjustable rear (because damn, this thing shoots a 2"group at 25yrds... All be it 8" low). Shorter front and an adjustable rear should help get it ready for Classic division.

Would you share your setup? Would love to bring mine up and don't trust my smithing skills to permanently alter that front.

I have a feeling the dovetails aren’t the same as a standard 1911 like a colt etc, the grip screws are metric that much I know. Mine shoots low as well.

Yup. They are not "typical" sizes. But there are some out there that will work, I've done the research and sourced both a front and a rear (I took all the micrometer measurements to be sure). I will post results when they arrive and I get them installed. I expect I might have to "finesse" fit them with a jewelers file and some 1200 grit oxide sandpaper.

Let us know what sights work and if any fitting is needed, I’m going to file my front down most likely but I would like an adjustable rear and something with a fiber optic for the front.

You ever end up doing this?
