girsan regard 9mm with NO accuracy

The girsan is not a target gun. Stick it in a vise and shoot it and will probably do great. Many guys struggle at 7-10.

Shoot 5 yards at move up.

So isn't a Glock but I've made 185 yards hit on steel with a Glock 35. The gun be whatever it is, should group at 25 And not be 12inches low.

I don't even really get 12" of drop at 50m with my cz SP01.

It could be that your gun just doesn't like commercial ammo.

I have a Shadow that I was convinced was a dud. At 25 yards, the target looked like a shotgun pattern. Then I took some reloading advice from Ganderite, and changed my load from 4.3gr of W231 to a different load: 3.9 gr of Unique.

The slightly lower powered Unique load is streets better than the W231 load. Night and day, really.

I was prepared to sell the Shadow. Not anymore!

If that was my Girsan I would either make it shoot where I aim or sell it.

If the groups are big (and a foot low) I would sell it.

If the groups are ok, then I would adjust the sights.

As I recall, the front sight is milled as part of the slide, so cannot be replaced.

If it used a removable front sight, I would get a lower one, or file it down. I hate filing fixed sights, because they cannot be replaced. So I would buy a high rear sight, or get an adjustable rear. I have adjustable rears on some of my 1911s and Glocks.

I just got a girsan mcR9 and am amazed at the accuracy the trigger and fit and finish of the gun. This guns sights are dead on and very accurate I have bought a lot of guns in my lifetime and this has to be the best gun I bought for the money.

Thanks all for the words of wisdom & trying to help.
If I list the gun here...It will have full discloser about its horrible accuracy.

A red flag was the low price I paid for it. seller said "its to big for his girl friends hands" He knew it was a POS

my buddy is going to mess with the sites on his & try to get better POA
Gonna sit back and watch him....succeed or fail.... its going to be fun LOL

any chance you're left handed and he's right handed?

he is right handed....but I got the same results shooting his.
If it was just one of the guns doing this.....I would try to correct it......but both the same gun with the same issue......yikes.
we are both experienced shooters and we have both been in 3 gun shooting matches.
we both used the shadow sp01 and were very efficient shooters.
I know a bad gun when I shoot it.

Guess you best not advertise it on the CGN EE after that range report.
Rob

yup.....full disclosure and the same $250 I paid for it.
I have nothing to gain selling some one else a POS and passing the grief on. LOL

I have always given a very honest review of all the many guns I have owned over the years.
If it bad..I will tell ya flat out. my trader rating is gonna stay at %100

this Girsan AND my buddys gun is a POS

I have a 92 F , just because of the price. I find I can't shoot them good because of the grip size.
This would be the same?? I have never handled one.
Do you have a bore sight? laser, might be interesting to see where it points. If you where close I could loan you one , and a 92 barrel, Not sure about the fit.
In 60 yrs I had 2 handguns that would not shoot, both where full of lead, but that will not be the problem here, and leaded , the 9mm was still on the paper, just a flier.
Looking at the fit, barrel lock up , does it look O.K.?
Could just be crap? But I hear guys bragging them up.
looking at the hat , you are north?

Shoot 5 yards at move up.

I have to agree with this. Any hand gun I first acquire I start at 5 yards and slowly move out to 20 yards. That way I can see what is going on. We all have bad range days. Try it on a rest or at close distance. Good luck and try not to get to frustrated about it.

My buddy just got back to me. he tried my lazer bore and had the same horrible results.
he isnt going to bother messing with the sites. its just too far out.

he is gonna try mounting a red dot. he hopes he can get enough adjustment to get it back to point of aim
I laughed and wished him good luck.

I Honestly Believe there is something Wrong with these 2 Girsans.

LOL....this is the worst review I have ever done on a gun......and a local reading gunutz offered to buy it from me....LOL

man ..ya cant make this stuff up !

If you wanted to try to get it to a place where you could sell it? or shoot it? without spending alot of $, I would try re-crowning the barrel? , 147 jacket ammo, and mill the front sight? If not? either buy another barrel or deactivate it, LOL, Good Luck.

You guys are some lousy shots that's all.

After all we know that Girsan is a top notch Turkish product.

lol..for sure.
and its going to a new home shortly. well that solved that. LOL

I will tell my buddy to check his crown .
I'm to old to mess with some product that was made poorly

You are confusing accuracy and precision, and I suspect you are using a 6 o'clock hold with the 3 dot sights, not how they work, designed for quick target acquisition, front dot goes on the target, not great for precision target shooting, but usually with some practice can shoot fairly decent groups with the proper target background.
With the proper target picture, you would not be shooting so low, probably right where it should be. If it was still a bit low, 147gr will bring it up a bit more. Maybe the prior owner drifted the sights to zero for his shooting habits, it's not rocket science to drift a rear sight to correct for windage.
If you bought a used scoped rifle that was shooting a foot low and a foot right at 100m would you call it quits and call it garbage or adjust the scope? Cuz that's basically what you are going on about in this post.
