Greetings all and Happy New year

I picked up a Girsan Regard for a very decent price. Happy with the purchase so far, but find the trigger on the heavy side.

What needs to be replaced in order to reduce the trigger pull weight?

Thanks

M

The D spring swap will help some, trimming 3 coils off the mainspring is about the same effect though.

By mainspring I assume you mean the hammer spring?

Wolff doesn't list a D spring. What weight is that one?

Thanks

M

Three coils did the trick! 200% better. I'll have to order a Wolff spring kit in case this experiment back fires on me.

Thanks

Any idea what the factory spring weight is?

I read a thread on a Beretta forum, can't find it now.....but basically a guy measured trigger pull with OEM 20# and the D and cut the 20# down until the pull was the same, which was 3 coils. Physically the D is a shorter spring as well. He was able to cut 1.5 coils off the D and still have it ignite reliably. He did say not to cut anything of the Wolff 16# though as it is not quite the same as D.....

Final question.

Where can I get some rubber grips for this thing? Something akin to the grips that came with my CZ85 combat.

Thanks

M

So, anything that fits a Beretta 92 will work?

M

Yes, this is my Regard with factory Beretta 92fs grips.

Wolff demands $25 min on international orders.

What's worth picking up after the hammer spring kit. Mag springs?

Get the springs from Brownell's when you get the grips, put "cheapest USPS shipping option" in the comments and it's $10.95 for shipping.
Hammer spring is good to have a spare, could get a 1lb heavier recoil spring too

when you order the spring and/or the grips, get a set of Beretta grip screws in hex head, not slotted. Its just a few bucks and they look way nicer than slotted once on the pistol.

"put "cheapest USPS shipping option" in the comments" didn't work! Got dinged $38 shipping via PP Express for a $27 order:mad:

PP Priority International must be the $10.95 option?
