Mine did this after the first couple hundred rounds. I took a centre punch and peened it (the pin) on the underside of the slide. Hasn't moved since. And yes, I've taken it out a couple of times since to clean behind the extractor. I've had mine for just over a year now, about 1500 rounds through it (or 2 boxes, if I were to list it on the EE, lol) and this is the only issue I've had with it.

I see, I'm not to familiar doing this. Do you mind pm me a picture of you peening it at the right place?
 
Brought my Girsan Regard to the shooting range today...Shot great! no misfeeds, failures or anything else of that nature. Shoots a very tight group at 10 yards. I noticed it shoots a bit low and to the right. My friend shot it and had similar results. We were using 124gr Sellier and Bellot. Does anyone else notice the same with their Girsan?

Girsan/Beretta sighting is not a 6'oclock target hold, you put the front dot over what you want to hit....better for speed shooting close distances, not so great for target shooting

i read in this thread the beretta wood grips fit... but what model do i need to look for?
most Beretta 92 and 96, F and FS series grips seem to say for full size only... would these fit the girsan compact anyway?
 
I went through a bunch of pages. Didn't see anything definitive on sights. Anyone added a fiber optic front or adjustable/target rear

Front sight is integral to the slide, would need to be milled off and a dovetail cut. Rear sight will take Beretta sights with some work...

I saw on another forum where the sight was drilled and a fo sight was inserted. Might be cheaper than milling and cutting.
 
I can't see that working very well...the f/o needs to be exposed on the top/sides to really gather light. Plus it would be extremely short.
 
I'd be into that. Maybe not green or red, that wouldn't be in the correct asthetic on the pistol, but something would be better than the basic thing that is there
 
So far in my Compact MC, I've been through
100 Remington MC - 115G Brass Casing
200 Blazer Brass 115G
50 Barnaul 115G - Lacquer Coated Steel Casing

No issues.

I was a little concerned about using the Barnaul, after doing some reading after buying it, as there were reports of the casing getting stuck in the chamber and light primer strikes, but they all worked perfectly.
