Ok after a long break i have found time to finish one of the donated guns. its a cooey Sureshot. It definitely is not a beauty queen and/or a target gun but a nice plinker for fun and i am sure it will make some new shooter happy. Could use a better bolt but it works. Now i have to figure out who to give it to. Admin... with your blessing of course. This gun and some funding was donated by aaron v a member here. rest of the missing parts are from my stash. Someone mentioned Essa may have someone in need please advise.
Having said that i have another project cooey 75. Missing sights bolt and stock. Thats next in line...

i recently dug out my old cooey to get it ready for my daughters to learn on.
that thing is beat to all get out.
stock is completely ripped up.
just the finish, the wood is fine.
and the bluing is toast.

what you should do if you have time is make a quick youtube video on how to strip and re oil the stock and re blue the barrel for those of us who have no idea how to do it.
i cleaned mine all up real nice so the action and stuff runs like butter, but the stock and finish are nasty nasty.

when i get back from camping ill post a pick of it.

I can re do the stock for you if you like. As mentioned I'm not a pro but I will make it look better. As for finish on steel you can leave it if its not rust or you can re blue with cold blue. I usually sand it down to a shine or matte and then use Canadian tire blue. It's important that its degreased well. Then what you do is read instructions in the package. Done. If you need help just ask.

I have a old Cooey single shot shot gun.....it needs to be sized, I think it's a twenty gauge. I would be willing to donate it. You can find the kid it goes to, I don't know any up and coming hunters. I do want a picture of he kid with his or her new shotgun though.
