Give me a break!!

BullSh!T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF do you get your info from ?

The only restriction i have heard is that its illegal to bring them into Canada as in everyday joe six pack and I have "heard" the restriction may have been lifted bu i can't confirm it

but its perfectly legal to use them in a hand gun!
I haven't heard anything so stooooooooooooPid in my life!!!!!!

where do people get these stories?

From the Newbie FAQ Section piece that I wrote:

4) Q: Is FMJ (full metal jacket) ammo prohibited?
A: NO! It is not prohibited to OWN, but it is illegal to use for HUNTING big game. For some reason, a few PAL instructors seem to think that the world of shooting begins and ends with hunting. This is where a lot of the mis-information gets started.

5) Q: Is hollow point ammo prohibited?
A: NO! . It is legal to own and use HP ammo in handguns. In the past, importation of Hollow Point pistol ammunition was an issue with Natural Resources Canada, but the ruling had changed since then.

Restrictions on the importation of hollow-point handgun ammunition no longer apply. Hollow-point ammunition for all types of firearms is now admissible.

Thank You!

Too bad the Lebarons in Ottawa is much better. They may not be too up to speed on guns but at least they treat you with respect.

Brian

Yeah I kind of like the girl and the young guy with the curly hair. They don't know anything but they do their best to try and treat you well.
I am really sick of plastic bags so I asked the girl if I was allowed to carry ammo out without a bag,
She said, "As long as you don't load it into a gun here we don't care."

heys guys ive only been there once and i will not be going back again! snotty attitudes stood infront of the guyfor at least 15 mins before he even acknowledged i was there then proceeded to serve a guy who came in after i did so as you can imagine i was a little grumpy after driving for 2 hours to get there. anyway they had nothing i wanted so i said screw this place outloud to my wife and we left after i made her put back what was in her hand to buy. never will i darken their door again. but dont really care as i now have a business and buy for my store at dealer prices.

You've been lucky then... I think you would find alot of people don't feel that way about our LeBaron's either. Depends who you get.
