Decided that since it’s been such a long time since I last bought them, and the price was right, and they seem to always get such good reviews. The last time I bought them I had two lot numbers to try and they gave terrible reliability results in all my rimfires. Here’s hoping these two bricks work out better.

I've always had good results with Blazer. Quick question are you using the 525 value pack? or the 500 Round bricks or individual boxes?

As strange as it sounds, I've heard quite a few complaints of the 525 round value packs but not the regular ammo. Always stayed away from the value packs for that reason.

The last ones, and these bricks are the 50 round boxes. Both have been in the CCI style plastic tray vs the federal style with legs. I have high hopes for it since the last stuff had at least a 3% failure rate, and it was the same whether bolt, semi, or lever. All work perfectly fine with pretty much anything else.

Strange, but that's the way .22 is. I remember a few years ago a buddy of mine got a Rem 597. Having just burnt about 200 rounds of Remington Viper through my GSG-1911 .22 with zero failures I figured they were one of the best for semi autos and recommended them.

Bang, click, bang, click, bang, click. pretty much a 50% failure rate in his 597. The same rifle ate every other type of ammo we had with minimal issues. Could have just been a bad box of viper, but I don't think you'll ever convince him to run vipers through that thing again. I supplied the box of vipers for him to try, so they were out of the same brick that worked fine in my GSG.

Anyway, give em a try, I hope you get better results this time around. The other common recommendation I've heard is CCI Mini-mags. Never tried them myself though.

CCI Blazer, in my experience, is far superior to stuff like the Winchester White box/bulk stuff. I think it holds an interesting spot in the ammo landscape as being CCI-made (inherent quality), high velocity, and yet relatively inexpensive. It's been my go-to gopher ammo when I've been lucky enough to get out west to shoot those things too, but only after running them through a Waltz die to put a big...nasty hollow point in them. So yes, my CCI Blazer 22 is all hollow points. :) My only criticism (and it's a big issue when you're running it through that die) is that Blazer 22 is very waxy stuff.

Having said all of that, from an accuracy POV, only my CZ 452 really shines with it. My BRNO 2E seems to like it too, but I only recently scoped that gun...so no real serious accuracy testing.

In 2016 alone, my nephew and I shot close to 4,000 rounds of the stuff on our gopher trip that spring..and I don't remember a single dud in the lot. I'd have no problem saying I did if it happened..it just never did.

Well I got through 100 rounds this weekend, with no failures. Didn’t really shoot for serious accuracy, but I had no issues plinking toonie sized spinners from my usual 65yds with my barely worn in 455 Canadian. Much better than the last two lot numbers from my last try. I actually did bad math earlier. I said I had an approx 3% failure rate, but in fact it was closer to 6%. Even the one 555rd box of Winchester wb I bought did better. So bottom line, I got a bad batch the first time. Happy!

In the past few years I've run well over 10,000 CCI Blazers through various rimfires. Reliability is always good and accuracy is always meh. Its a volume round for me. I saw no difference between a 5000 rd case of 500 rd bricks (each with 50 rd boxes) and a 5250 rd case of bulk. Other than the bulk boxes are faster to load into a BC mag loader. Back when I could buy cases for $200 locally it was my favourite ammo.
