Hey, I was wondering if anyone has ever glass bed there lower hand guard on a CZ 858 or VZ 58? I know on a precision rifle you obviously want nothing touching your barrel. but in the CZ/VZs case there is already a hand guard touching it so why not stiffen it up, and I understand that there is an air gap in there for cooling of the barrel. But mine is scoped and I am trying to tighten up the groups a bit more. I know reloading is an option.. But Just curious if anyone has ever attempt this proses. and if so what the results were.

I don't see how you can glass bed it. The hand guard is attached to a groove that holds it in place that is welded onto the barrel. Wouldn't be worth it anyways it's already as accurate as you can make it. Best thing to do is a good trigger job for good trigger control, handloads, and lots of practice at the range. Try Hornady SST 7.62 they are very accurate.

Glass bedding the handguard won't do anything except mess up the handguard. If you're using milsurp ammo then your ammo is the limiting factor. Buy better ammo or learn to reload.
