Hey all, looking for opions on what scope I should get for a Remington 700P in 308? I plan on getting the rifle in the summer, but in the mean time I would like to get a scope for her. I was thinking about a Leupold Mark4 LR/T in 6.5-20X50. i plan on shooting at 600+ meters. Is there any other scope I should be looking at?

I have a Leupold MK 4 6.5-20x scope with illuminated mildots on my 700P. It's a really nice scope, but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to really stretch its legs. The optics are crystal clear and the paralax adjustment is very handy to have! That scope does add a bit of weight to the rifle though, all together my rifle weighs close to 14 pounds. I'm hoping to get out with the base rifle club one day for some long range fun or perhaps try one of those ORA intro days for experience. See if you can actually get a look at one of these scopes in person, as that may be the best way to clear up any questions you may have. Good luck with your quest!

Night force scopes are also one of the top contenders for precision rifle rigs.

Whatever you chose in these price ranges from reputable manufacturers are going to be great scopes. The biggest problem will be going back to the $300 scope on your cheap deer rifle after looking through $1500 glass.

On my 700P 223 I have the leupold 'PR' on my 700P 308 I have the bushnell 3200 Mildot fixed 10X....I would suggest the 3200 for price and clarity
