Glass for a Tikka CTR stainless? Range/hunting

I know nothing about optics. So any suggestions on a nice light rugged scope for my Tikka ctr stainless in .308, going to be used primarily for hunting and the range, its going to be a jack of all trades sort of thing.

Also any opinions on this fine looking gun? It should arrive in a couple weeks.

I have leupold vx-r 3-9 with a ballistic reticle on mine

I like the VX3's but a VX2 4-12x40 with the LRD duplex would be sweet.

I agree, they are great optics. I have the Bushnell DMR G2 on my Tikka T3 Varmint awesome scope for the money, prefer it over my Swarovski Z5
