Glasses

Probably looking through the wrong place on the lens. Search around for the best picture.
Try that area of the lens where there is no magnification similar to your unaided eye.
Using the lower portion of the lens, reserved for reading, the sight and image will be blurred.

i always wear my glasses. cant you focus your scope crosshairs for your sight nearsighted or far you should be able to

I ran into problems big time with my latest blended perscription, took me a while to realise the problem. Had to really pull out the eye adjustment on my scope to get them to work. I am thinking a new pair with single perscription is the way to go for the range.

I've worn progressives for 10+ years now, and never have any problem.
The crosshairs are clear and crisp. You may need to re-adjust your ocular
lens to get the clarity. As mentioned, look through the upper part of your
lens, not the lower. Dave.

Progressives are a pain in the a$$. I have the same problem. Nothing seems clear when I hold my head in a normal shooting position. Oddly enough, I can see better aiming with my left eye than my right. Single prescription is the way to go, but then you have to get used to not being able to see things clearly up close, like the speedometer on your vehicle.

I tried progressives and they just don't work for me get a single vision pair of safety lenses for the range and you should be good to go

Turned 50...Progressive lenses. If I wear glasses crosshairs are blurry. Clear without.

I have progressive lens as well, and I know what you are talking about. I'm a right hand shooter and after fiddling at the range shooting, I found the sweet spot with my glasses. The sweet spot, of course is my right eye/lens, is the upper location of the lens, between the 10 to 11 o'clock position. Good luck!

Adjust the ocular bell for proper depth and shoot with glasses off. You will be constantly be taking off/putting on as you make adjustments to the scope etc... but it is the best option, particularly for hunting.

I am in the same boat.
I asked my optometrist about shooting glasses for scope hunting use and he suggested single vision and just drop them on a lanyard around your neck when you want to shoot.
But that is just his suggestion for me.

That didn't work for me. If the target is clear, the crosshairs are all but invisible. If the crosshair is clear, then the target is a blur.

It should work for anyone who has problems with reading distance vision... which is most of the 50+ degenerative vision... if that is your condition, maybe your scopes ocular bell does not have enough adjustment??? All of the scopes I have are Leupold's and I have the ocular bells cranked right out.

I've worn progressives for at least 20 years. I "focus" my scopes by aiming at the sky (cloudy day is better) and adjusting ocular until cross hair is crisp and sharp. I think I shoot with both eyes open - both eyes look at target, bring up rifle and target is clear in the scope. Maybe I "squint" the left eye a bit as I squeeze off the shot - not sure. If you need progressives, single vision is a real pain for hunting - you need to be able to see tracks / sign on the ground, but at same time be ready for taking a shot. As they say, it "sucks" to grow older, but I think it is better than not. "A privilege denied to many" - as written by someone on this site...

TRACK is right - I've had the same problem for several years. I Always bought 'split lens' for reading anyway so that worked best for me. A Prog lens gives you ALL ranges so you just have to find where it works for you. How does the lens look without any glasses? Like Hoytcannon says. The scope is a lens too :) Can you adjust your scope to compensate for that?
