I've got a Gen 4 G17 on the way, and I'm curious what the opinion on these kits are. Perhaps some input on what's available and how long it takes to swap back and forth. Thanks.

Anyone care to chime in on how well they work? For the price I could get a dedicated .22 pistol, tough I'd prefer to train with the Glock if it works well.

A good friend of mine has the Advantage Arms kit and it shoots really well.
I enjoyed shooting it and I will buy one myself.
Just make sure you get the Gen. 4 version.
The slide is very light and that helps the little .22 propel it back quite efficiently.
I have a Tactical Solutions .22 kit for my 1911 and that slide is steel and despite thorough cleaning it still has issues to eject / load.
Of course like most semi-auto .22's you must clean / lube them after every trip to the range.

I have the Advantage Arms kit and it is fantastic on my G17. have very few round not fire using Remington Target match ammo.

AA's are very nice kits. I've had two. One gen 4 and still have the gen 3. Both functioned just fine. A little finiky at first with certain ammo, but once broken in ( couple thousand rounds or so of 40g Mini Mag) seem to function just fine with cheaper stuff. I've been very happy with mine. They pop up on the EE from time to time. Seen a few in the last year at fair prices. Just make sure it gets cleaned frequently. They seem to act up a little after about 300 rounds or so.

Still curious, does anyone here have any experience with the IGB Glock kits? They also look very nice, but have never seen one in person.

If this is why you're thinking about buying a .22lr kit then its a sound reason.
I bought an AA .22lr conversion kit for my G17 because "everyone" said it was a great training tool for the Glock. Mine ran as good as you can expect with the dirty .22lr ammo. Had very little issues with it as long as it was kept clean.
I eventually sold it because it was collecting dust(I had no reason to "train" with my Glock). I just shoot for enjoyment and like variety so eventually picked up a Sig 1911-22 to satisfy my .22lr plinking needs.
i prefer having a complete HG.....YMMV
