Hi guys,
I am looking at changing out the stock connector to a 3.5lbs one. Is this a good idea? does it smooth out the trigger? Is it hard to do? Is there a good brand of connector to go with? Thanks

It's very simple, takes about 5 mins. Do a search online / youtube for instructional video.

I'd try and find a factory connector, if not the Schereror Ghost are okay...

I had one installed, LOVE the trigger pull, or should I say lack of one. I went with the OEM connector, and extended mag release, I really noticed the differance. My 2 cents worth.

I also do as Paulinski does, but I cut some coils on the ny1 spring just enough so that the plastic "leaf" makes contact with the spring (just touching).

So what all parts will i need then? Connector and a new trigger? When can a guy get parts like this in Canada? Thanks for all repleys

you don't need any other parts....I have 2-3 spares of every part and i've never used any!

i'd really just recommend a spare trigger spring ....

I bought the "Glock Ultimate 3.5 lb connector & springs" kit on ebay. Best 30 bucks i've spend in my entire life. I just don't use the Wolf reduced power 4lb. striker spring because i do not want to have light primer stike failures. I highly recommend this kit to every Glock owner.

Do you know of any other sources? I want one for a small and large frame Glock.

Tried the Glock 3.5# connector, and found, as many do, that it was not as crisp as the stock 5.5# connector. The difference in weight is negligible really. I had both connectors brand new, and it was not that easy to tell the difference.

Got rid of mine as I hated the mushiness to it.

if your looking for a crisp trigger, use a 3.5# connector with a NY1 spring.... take the mushyness out and makes it have a definate "breaking" point.... I prefer the mushyness of the stock 3.5# trigger.... with proper trigger control andfollow thru mushyness does not mean much.

I didn't like the pull of the NY springs when I tried them.

For me the 5.5# connector was easier to predict when the trigger would break. With the 3.5# connector there is a bit of springiness (maybe mush isnt the right word).

I guess it's all a matter of preference.

the 25 cent trigger job is definitely worth it. It will make the trigger pull smoother. I find that with the 3.5# connector it feels alot like my c-7/ar trigger as opposed to any of my other pistols. I would like to try it with the NY1 trigger for reference.
