Two separate questions for the masses, lets start with the barrel. I'm looking at different options for a replacement barrel for my 17, so what do you think, what would be your brand recommendation and why. Pricing is important of course, but most important, availability in Canada.

The next question is on sights, more generic, looking for opinions from some of the older guys!

I'm sure some here must be having the same issues, as I get older, the eyes are getting worse. Type 2 diabetes doesn't help much. For IDPA type shooting, what are your recommendations/ what are you using for sights. Looking for something that shows up nice and clear for quick acquisition of the target, something that is good for low light or outdoors in the bright sun.

I took a look at a set of High Viz, but in low light they wouldn't be much use for me. Straight black takes too long to pick up, the white dots on my Glock just don't cut it.

Most dealers don't seem to stock much, they will order sights in, but not until you commit. How am I to pick sights from a catalogue?

There's nothing wrong with the factory glock 17 barrel and lead.
I shot a few thousand DRG's and found them more accurate than I could hold.

Lone Wolf barrel from Questar.
Got one for my G22 in 9mm. Shoots lead great.

Sights Truglo TFOs.
Have them on 4 of my glocks.

I can meet you at Colby one day and you can try them out??
