i just took out my brand new glock 17 gen 3 and wolf 9mm FMJs and i kept getting hit in the face with the ejected brass one even fell into my shooting glasses and almost burnt my eye. it this common? is there a away to fix it? will it get better with time?

Fix: sell the glock, buy a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow ! ;)

Seriously though, limp wrist maybe? Have you tried different ammo?

^^^This. When did you buy your Glock? With a little google seaarching, you can find a serial number data base where you can research your Glock to see if it was pre or post "problems". Not sure if the new Apex extractor has fixed the issue or not. Contact Glock and see what they say.

why on earth does every glock malfunction seem to get attributed to limp wristing? I have shot plenty of hand guns, one handed, with awkward angles, and purposefully slack my wrist to try to get a limp wrist malfunction.... and I have never gotten one... granted I hate glocks and never shot one past the first time I shot one, so maybe its just glocks that are prone to limp wristing failures, but the 1911's, S&W's, sigs, Beretta, HK's, CZ's never were finicky on how I held them...

limp wrist , or the ejector may need a little bend or filing . but it's a glock , it should eat anything & toss the brass well over to the right . 1st look @ the nut behind the wheel , this is usally the biggest prob with any fire arm 99.9999999999% of the time . the rest of the time check out the nut behind the wheel . unless of course your a very well adjusted gun nut , then it could be all of the above & more .

My Gen 4 has started to do this after about 2k rounds. I've been meaning to try some different ammo because it was doing this with PPU stuff (I have found other people online getting hit in the face by brass using PPU). I might get out this upcoming week to figure it out.

Are you right or left handed ? I have a Glock 22 in 40sw and some of my casings hit me into my forehead but that's only because I'm a lefty, had I been righty it would just narrowly miss. Anyway, I observed over time that strength of ammo plays some roll here. I use Lone Wolf aftermarket barrel so I could shoot lead and reloads so I can max it up ( as per catalog) but the result is sometimes I get showered with hot casings

There have been recalls and anger over Glock's erratic ejection. I purchased a 3rd gen to avoid the 4th gen problems, but apparently the problem can migrate to the newer 3rd gens.
I have about 250 rounds through my 3rd gen Glock 17, SES serial number range made in Oct 2011 I believe. All rounds ejected to the right, 4 O'clock and strong. I think I got a good one, even though 250 rounds is nothing.
Why is it that some start exhibiting symptoms later on, and not right away?
Who do you send your Glock to for warranty in Canada?

Just remembered I have a video from the day it was doing it. Not limp wristing, brass hitting me in the face or generally having spotty ejection.

This is OK, that's the way Glock works with the installed factory plastic recoil rod. Buy a new Steel recoil rod for it from Questar and solve your problem.
