Glock 17 C

You can always get an aftermarket barrel without ports. That's what I've done with my G20C. The aftermarket barrel has regular rifling so you can use all lead bullets.

ETA. Does it really matter if your wife is shooting in Open category? For the first little while she could shoot open to get used to the gun. She can also put the holster anywhere on her belt, same with the spare magazines. Once she's shot a number of matches she will no longer be recoil sensitive. At that point she can use the non-ported barrel and shoot in Standard.
