Okay so we all know of the issues with erratic ejection behavior with some of the earlier gen 4 glocks. I know at first it was thought the ejector was the problem. Turns out the extractor is the likely culprit and from what I understand, that appears to be what is solving the problem for people. What I have been unable to find out though, is where I can purchase one here in Canada, or even the US for that matter - that actually has them in stock.

When I inquired with Glock about this problem they told me an authorized Glock armorer was the only source of getting this replacement extractor. Is this accurate? I can replace this myself and would prefer to avoid the 150+ bill for this work, shipping and paper work.

What are others doing or have done?

Apex makes a great replacement extractor. They are sold through Tactical Cowboy, whatever it's called. I don't see it on their website but I'm sure if you gave 'em a ring they'd be able to help you out. :)

Thanks guys. Appears Apex Tactical's failure resistant extractor is not in stock. I ended up purchasing the new style extractor from Brownells. They did not have any in stock last time I checked a couple months ago. It was 20 dollars. I dont like that they cant calculate shipping before sending the order - 20 dollar part and will probably be charged 20+ in shipping. Only place I have found them so far, so thanks Suputin for reminding of me of Brownells, and Mr00Jimbo for the apex suggestion.

What about Sportique in Quebec, they service them?

Brownells allows you to choose amongst options for shipping. If you select USPS priority it should be reasonable.
