So I took my Glock to the range today for the first time since I got it (off of ee). One of the RSO's came by to chat for a minute when he noticed the colour of the slide at the front was discoloured. Now this is my first gun and I have no clue if this is normal or not (guessing not) but he said that his gen 3.5 doesn't do it. So I figured I'd come see what cgn says about it. It does rub off.

Yep, just residue all you got to do is wipe it off when you clean the gun. The RSO should have said his ammo doesn't do that lol.

No matter how clean the ammo it'll end up looking like that if you fire it enough. Some get that muzzle nasty quicker than others. :D

btw. I have a Gen 3.5 No observable decline in muzzle nastying is present when compared to the Gen 4 :p

Totally normal, "she's just a dirty girl" lol

U can by a silicone rag (from the local gun store) and just wipe that off easy

Ok awesome, thanks for the quick response. Just wanted to double check. Put 200 rounds down range and it was great. Aim got better towards the end. Definitely need some practice tho.. Lol..

OP, your Glock is fu<ked. That horrible corrosion will never ever be rectified. Let me guess, you were shooting the ammo with the brass casings right!?

Because I like you, I'll take that filthy beast off your hands and out of sight. We can even transfer registration so your name won't ever be associated with it again. What do you say? Deal?...'K, I'll pay the shipping. PM me.

Joke. Clean your gun, or don't. Its a Glock after all. ;)
