Glock 17 Load question

Ok, I have a Glock 17 and I am just starting to load for it. I have a Lee turret press and Lee dies.

I am using the Lyman's manual for loads. However, I was comparing the load charts that came with my Lee dies and the load data is significantly different than the Lyman's charts.

For this I will only post for the load and bullet I am using

124 gr. FCP RN Cam-Pro
Win 231 Powder
CCI 500 Small pistol primers.

Lee:For 125gr. Jacketed Bullet

4.4-4.8 gr. powder

Lyman: 125 gr. Jacketed Bullet

3.9-4.4 gr. powder.

I am new at this, but it seems a significant difference. Does anybody have anything that works well in the Glock 17 without me having to try 15 different powders and 100 different loads??

oh ya, I have seated the bullets to 1.1675, will this be a good length??

-Titegroup 4.1 gr.
-OAL of 1.130".
-use a Lyman case guage, and would recommend you check them. have no issues
even if they "tight" in guage (keep set aside), Glock seems to eat it.

BTW... use your specs for loading for lead bullets if you have a thin layer of copper plating as opposed to FULL JACKET. check and see if this is the reason. copper thickness makes a difference. I use cam-pro plated as well (full copper plated)

I use 4.2gr of Titegroup with 124gr Berry's bullets.

I expect you to have trouble loading your 1,1675 inche bullets in your Glock G17 magazines.

147 gr. JHP from Zero bullet company inc. at 1,65 OAL jammed when I was loading my G17 mags.

Try 1,15 inche.

I am using either 4 or 4.3 gr 231 under a Berrys plated 124gr rnhb, CCI 500,oal 1.15". This is through a cz85.

If you are new to this seat 2-3 bullets with no primer and powder and try cycling these duds through your mag and Glock first to make sure sizing, seating, crimping is set up good. Once these work you will know your press is set up and can work on different powder loads and shooting from there.

You don't want to find you loaded 50-100 rounds that won't chamber etc.
