17 rounds trumps 10.... Pinned or not. For the record, the 10's are not that hard to load.

Not that hard, but it's definitely harder to put 10 in a 10 rounders than in a the 17. The difference between 10 vs. 17 not worth the hassle to sell the 10 to buy 17 but i you want to buy spare mags, i say go with the pinned 17 rounds mag. I think it worth the 5$ to 10$ difference but unless i win the lottery, i will never ever buy a 100$ pinned 30 rounds mag, it's just ridiculous.

The biggest problem with the 10 round mag is when it is loaded to capacity there is no play in the spring left so when you do a fast reload and you have one in the chamber, the mag is very difficult to lock in the gun. This occasionally causes the mag to fall out, if you do it quicly in a match and haven't inserted the mag very firmly.

With the pinned hi cap mag, there is enough movement left in the mag to easily insert and it locks up easily.

The only issue with the pinned mag as I can see it is when we cross the border to shoot in the U.S., Canadian Customs gets very interested in pinned mags.

I agree, the 17's are significantly easier to load than a factory ten.

Insert your magazines with conviction and they won't fall out. Magazines are disposable so don't be shocked if you damage or destroy one.

I use all three, 10 rounders, 17/10, and 33/10. I like the pinned mags better for the sake of my thumbs. I didn't pay $100 for my 33/10, nor do I intend to, so if any of you sellers want to give me a fair price, I'd buy more.

I don't like putting the last two rounds in the 10 round magazines. Even with a MagLula and you can call me a sissy thumbs all you want. Give me pinned 17 round mags any day. In regards to price. I can't really comment because I've never purchased a pinned magazine that wasn't already part of a sale/deal/combo with pistol however, I would expect to pay the same if not, less than a 10 round mag.

I know it's a slim chance but do any stores sell the larger pinned magazines?...specifically in .40 or .357?
The 9mm seems to be all I can ever find.

I have four original GLOCK , 17 rounds magazines and compare to my 10 rounds the loading is a breeze.

I bought them from SPORTEQUE in Drumondvill, QC

Sporteque is the Canadian Law Enforcement Distributor for Glock Pistol so they are usually in stock.

Instead of a rivet to stop the capacity at teen rounds they use a plastic stopper inside of the mags.

The price is $ 40 (Was $30 just over a year ago…F #$%@? inflation)

Areound November of last year I couldn't find a business in Canada that stocked 10\anything mags for sale to the general public. LEO only with proof I was told over and over...

You were told wrong. 10 rounds is the limit for civilians, regardless of the design capacity of the magazine. As is common, ill informed businesses and their staff spreading myths and losing money.

From what I gathered, their stock was unpinned. The had lots of stock 10's though, only $55+tax and shipping:rolleyes:. Oh well, I bought some new OEM 10\15s on the EE for $45 each shipped.
