my vote for the 9mm icon: Beretta 92FS
All depends if you want a pistol that almost never goes Kaboom on the pull of the trigger or one that occasionally goes Kaboom on the pull of the trigger. Glocks would appear to have a much higher incidence of kabooms because of the largely unsupported chamber, whereas the Beretta has a mildly unsupported chamber and has a much lower incidence of kabooms.
Just my opinion based on a few facts. RE just for giggles my Glock friends, ha ha

Of the 2 options on top I chose G17....... But since you asked, I bought a M&P9 as my first 9mm, after trying out the G17 & the 92, as well as a host of others.
It is the best polymer 9mm for ME...... IMO......

Glocks are great guns hands down. Beretta are not bad too but there using alot more powdered metal parts ie "the decocking pawl" so you better have alot of spares lol. I have replaced 10 sofar from the pistols I service.

Each pistol has its pro’s and con’s. Just so happens Glock has a much higher incidence of Kabooms than most pistols and this is one of Glock’s major con’s.
To each his own I guess.
