Glock 17 range report: UPDATE RESULTS

Strictly a club requirement. At the indoor range I frequent, you have to prove rimfire proficiency before being allowed to shoot centrefire. No minimum amount of range time required though. It's simply a question of proving to the RO you can put ten .22s on the paper at 20m. I think they want to limit the amount of holes they get in the ceiling.

WOW.....That is really f*cked up..

LoL,yup its all a challenge and a little time consuming, but once you are a member our range is actually very quiet and low profile, hopefully we can keep it this way.

Not required to answer a skill testing question? Not required to wrestle a grizzly with your bare hands?
pffftt....they make it too easy to get a gun in Ontario! I think what we need is more government oversight!!! :p

Thats an interesting opinion. IMO, gun clubs should be very vocal and active in society, at least as much as they can be.

Kinda like perverts rows at a strip club. If everyone is loud, but decent and having fun its okay, but the quiet weirdo's are what people don't trust.

I do believe thats the first time I've seen gun clubs compared to perverts row at the strip clubs.:p

Depends on where you're standing I guess. There really are a lot of holes in that ceiling.

So, our club instituted a new rule and I can now shoot at any range upto 25m

I shot some groups at about 7-8 meters and just under 15 meters while working up some new loads.

Here are my results. I guess in my defense of the accuracy, this was a mix of rapid fire and relaxed firing, as you can see from some of the fliers.

Nothing to write home about I know, I tried putting some suggestions into practice and keep reviewing the basics.

I found myself sliding down the backstrap with my strong hand, its surprising how much better my grip feels when I correct this.
