glock 17 recoil buffer needed to prevent damage to polymer frame?

Aftermarket buffers are not required. RSA replacement every 5000+/- rounds will ensure the frame will not be damaged.

The one thing a Glock should definitely have (IM-not so-HO) is the sights replaced (unless you got the night sights). Beyond that, unless you inadvertantly got an NY2 trigger, you need ammo - lots of ammo.

Whats the point with reloads and the barrel? I only shoot reloads on stock barrel.
115 plated FMJ.

Non supported chamber bulges the cases and wrecks your brass for reloads. I had brass reloaded 3-4 times through my Glock17 with a stock barrel,,,,BUT...I had lots of failures, usually in extreme cold. No problems whatsoever with boxed ammo.
