Hi all,

I recently bought a gen 2 glock 17. It has a 8LBS - 10LBS trigger pull rate now. Wondering where to find replacement parts. Any shops in the GTA area or where to buy online ?

Also looking for spring cups....for shooting underwater / in the rain

Thanks in advance

you don't need the spring cups for shooting underwater. They work fine without them. Not that it's likely you'll ever get a chance to test it.
As for trigger bits, look up how to do your own trigger job, try that and if it doesn't work, then consider buying new parts.

Probably a police buyback. Check for the trigger return spring, you must have the "olive" New York 1 8lb spring, replace this with the original 5lbs. You may also like a 3.5lb disconnector.

Try Target Sports...they stock the usual Glock parts. IDK about spring cups.

Wolff spring kit will make a big difference as will a 3.5 lb connector. I agree with the previous post that as a Gen 2, it may be a former police gun so it may have the NY1 or NY2 trigger spring. That would add a lot of weight to the pull. There are lots of resources on how to strip the Glock down or find a another Glock owner as sooner or later, we all learn how to tear it down.

IMO The springs and disconnector will only get you so far. If you want a smooth and relatively better trigger pull, you may want to opt for a drop in kit. They are made with OEM parts, but the trigger bar is shaped and rounded in the right places.

Having said that, trigger kits are expensive. A 25 cent trigger job and a 3.5# disconnector can go a long way. This is an ideal spot to start, especially if you are new to glocks

My G34 has a 2.75# trigger that is smooth. This was done with a modified polished trigger bar, chrome plunger, Reduced power plunger spring, 3.5# disconnector, stock trigger spring, reduced power firing pin spring (used together with an polished extended striker)

My G17 is well used....and virtually entirely stock. In fact, because it had so many rounds through it, I had trouble getting the trigger pull above 5lbs (for IPSC) even with stock parts. I actually had to rotate in some new OEM parts from my spare parts collection

Thank you for all your help folks. I am new to glocks, but event he RO at my range said ""wow that's a heavy pull "" LOL

Yes it is an old police buy back glock.

I will be placing an order and go from there

I found a Glock with 3.5 lb connector and a NY-1 Spring give me better results than stock spring. Heavier pull but the trigger was less mushy and more consistent.
