What is happening to all the Glock 17 uppers.

I am in the process of buying just a lower and can't find an upper anywhere in Canada that is not a $1K plus aftermarket.

Lots of lowers for sale but no uppers.


Okay glock guys what is going on?
 
Yes the price of them are ridiculous, when the price to build a factory Glock exceeds the price of a bought gun you have to question why.

My recommendation, watch the EE, they do come up from time to time.
 
i have a glock 17 lower only. Trying to get rid of it because i realize now that it was a stupid idea to think the upper would be easy to find.
 
Calgary Shooting Center has .22cal uppers for G17 pistols... could maybe go that route? I think they cost between 400-500 bucks
 
I already got a 22 upper. I was hoping to get the 9mm upper. I hate the thought of spend 1k+ and finding I still hate glocks.

Well why did you buy one? Because it has the Zev trigger replacement and I am hoping it will help me over come my issues with the glock.
 
I have a new, complete Gen 3 upper that came from IRG. but it cost me just about as much as a used G17 to buy. I have thought about selling it, but I wasn't sure if anyone would be willing to pay what I paid for it.

I know. I bought a Glock 22 lower and figured I'd find a used top end for a decent price.

I ended up finding an upper on the EE with 6 mags for a good price. Definitely wasn't worth ordering a new one for $400.

I figured Jay at Blackbox might have some used take-offs from people who upgraded to custom slides.
