But the glock will never break. The XD has had some problems.
The XD is cheaper, but I'd go with the Glock.
Coon said:I say dont buy a XD as well. It feels like crap and shoots just the same. Gets a bit dirty and it doesn't fire at all! The glock you can just keep hammering on for thousands of rounds, the XD tho, not the same.
Wow, that didn't take you long!Cocked&Locked said:An XD feels like crap compared to a glock? Wow , you must have mutant hands. And as for getting dirty and not firing, well, I guess if you don't clean it every 1000 rounds or so it might, mine will run through 500 without a hitch, and thats as long as I'll let any gun go without cleaning......Granted, I've only got 5 or 6 thousand rounds through mine with out a hitch, maybe something will come up, but it just keeps getting smoother, and there is no comparison on the triggers.
Glocks feel like a brick in the hand , naturally point at the ceiling, and the triggers feel like junk. They are stone reliable, as long as you don't reload and shoot cast bullets.

richardoldfield said:redleg, as the sales volume get higher so do reports of repair. There was an incidence of a high number of repairs being made on one brand of VCR; it was because the maker produced so many. Their rate of failure was the same as for the low volume producers. I will stand by my statement that both the Springfield XD and the Glock 17 are class acts. Regards, Richard![]()
richardoldfield said:redleg, there have probably been more Glocks sold in the last 15 years than any other single make of handgun and this by itself accounts for why some need repair. Regards, Richard![]()
