glock 17 when?

Hello,

So what's going on with availabilty on the 17. most of the local shops in the Vancouver area have been out for months.The standard answer is "we have Absolutley no idea when they will arrive". I appreciate their honesty,but why is it so hard to find out a real ETA from glock.

Got my G17 from Questar recently as well.

Just a FYI in case interested... that all G17's (unless you get an Austrian NPv proof one from Wolverine) have US made frames now. There is no 'Made in Austria' on right side of grip.

I took my US made frame G17 out last weekend. Shot 200 rds of Winclean and Ranger RA9T (from Wolverine also) through it. Functioned flawlessly. I was waitin for the US made frame to melt in my hands or go blowed up reel good. LOL.

The frame pressing against the slide under the front sight is annoying, but oh well. That's my only beef with them... the cosmetic inconsistency of the frame/slide gap. Should be nice n parallel.

Very easy fix. Pour some boiling water into a glass and submerge the tip of the frame into the water for a few seconds until it heats up. Bend the frame straight by pressing it against a flat surface and then run the tip of the frame under cold water. Worked for me; the slide/frame gap on my Glock is perfectly parallel now.:cool: Don't worry, your frame will not dissolve.:D
