Glock 17

At first I was apprehensive about getting a Glock but I absolutely love mine!! It's accurate, easy to clean... What isn't there to like about them? Some people say they are ugly but I don't find them to be.
 
Before I bought my Glock, I already knew that I hate how it looks, I didn't like the trigger but I know it can shoot really well. I had bought and trade several handgun and they are all very good but there isn't anything perfect out there. I think Glock has its own right and attractive. For some reason the grip angle and grip shape does help me shoot better than my CZ.it just so good to have one brother.

I truly like my G17. Why? It goes bang when other handguns I own don't. I have been happy since I changed the trigger to 3 1/2 lb. I don't even mind the plastic sights as I can see them. Get someone to show you how to manage the trigger and you will also be a happy camper. Regards, Richard:)

Mine sports Trijicon night sights and an 8lb NY2 trigger group, altough light triggers are nice for bullseye shooting I like the extra weight for carry & stress safety. I use it for IPSC shoots and CCW carry. I now made perfect even better with a Surefire X300 light. Goes bang every time and I don't stress on cleaning it. One note of caution is limp wristing it, because of the poly frame you want a firm grip or you may (may being a very light word) experience bad cycling, but cannot say it has been an issue.
 
What I like about my Glock is that it is torture test approved. That thing can go through hell and back and then still shoot like it was designed to. I have heard of some guys who have 100,000 rounds through Glocks and with alittle maintenance every now and then they are still shooting like the day they were first purchased...And obviously the fact that it dissassembles so easy and if needed parts are pretty easy to find.
 
I have a G17 ver3 with Trijicon sights and an M3 light. It's very reliable with any ammo. I keep it in the digital safe in the bedroom.

I have it on my current ATC and occassionally carry it in the field in the winter months.
 
I didn't like the fact that I could not grip the pistol with proper form with my average sized hands. This was due to the part of the grip that rests against your palm and in your thumb crotch (is that a word? lol) was too wide and too square. Everything else I LOVED! Man I wish they would come out with a modified grip that is tapered at the back. Make sure you know how to grip a handgun with proper form before trying one out, you may find the same thing I did.
 
I like them, I have always liked them. Yet I do not yet own one... go figure.

I will get one soon though (with an OD frame). It will be the next gun I buy for shooting purposes. Too bad we don't have those massive 33 round mags up here :( those look like fun.

So do Glock 18s... I have always been amazed by those things, they look so god like :rockOn:

Good gun, FAR!!!!!! better an ANY stock Glock 17. The stock Glock is a cookie cutter gun. I liken it to a Honda Civic, there boring and plain but they get you from a-b.

The stock trigger travel take up is disgusting. You need to shave the safety leaver int he trigger to have it feel better in your hand, the stock front sight is a joke if you look at it the wrong way it will brake :p

PS if anyone is interested, the gun is probably still for sale at Italian Sporting Goods. It would be a hell of a good gun for someone who wants a truly "perfect" Glock.

hehe, that's Hunter S. Thompson, holding his favorite 44 magnum, Smith and Wesson. Once I get my own big revolver, I'll change the pic. My arms aren't puny though, I'm one of the very few people my size (250lbs) who can do chin ups.
