Glock 17

Glock

Have had a G17 but sold it off in favour of my BHP MkIII. Most of my Glock shooting has been done with a G22 .40 cal. Been at that one since circa 1995 and have many thousands down the pipe. Nice to shoot, reliable & accurate.

Nothing bad to say about the Glock except it's lacking in the looks department...lol...

You know, all the cool kids have G19 instead of G17s....

Yeah, with but with flush fit factory barrels installed, though.... ;)

I got to shoot a Glock last summer (Thanx Ruger30-06), and I have to say I really liked it. :)
Once I can afford one I'm prob' going the direction of a G21 though. :D

What I love about my G17 - ability to customize and aquire aftermarket parts, .22 conversion kit, ergonomics that work for me, goes bang every time the trigger is pulled, super easy to diassemble/clean, its a better shooter than I am

Dislikes - the tease of not being able to use an unneutred mag in Canada, I like the trigger in my Sig better, the gun is a little light and so is a bit snappy

best thing about a glock is that it is a glock...

all you need is ammo.....and a 3.5 lonewolf connector....NOTHING ELSE....

At first I was apprehensive about getting a Glock but I absolutely love mine!! It's accurate, easy to clean... What isn't there to like about them? Some people say they are ugly but I don't find them to be.

You clean your Glock? I clean mine once a year if it needs it or not.

P.S. I love my glock 17.

Only negatives I can think of are...

1) The grip doesnt fit some people's hand.
2) The stock trigger is sorta rough around the edges as far as a consistanly smooth pull goes, but this can be fix by adding a 3.5 connector and if you want to go the extra distance a competition trigger spring. I have installed these on my G17. It is a very simple process and seemed to made a world of difference. Even through on a reduced striker spring (not recommended for carry purposes) and did the $0.25 trigger job to make the pull feel like a dream.

I highly suggest going Glock. Just my 2 cents though.

i had the opportunity to fire a glock 19 while in the states with a 15 round mag of course. i liked it so i will probably grab one in the near future of course with 10round mag and 106mm barrel.
i also have it on good authority that a certain ontario dealer is going to offer a special sale on glocks, lower than anyone in the whole country. more details at a later date

the 19 rocks....possibly the best glock ever made.

Well, yes, but he is around the side on the grip, or at least it appears he is. (Yes, people can learn to shoot well that way, but it's much more prone to having issues as the recoil bounces the pistol off the base of the thumb joint, which with you there is spotted and corrected - some folks shoot alone, without a highly experienced shooter present :D ) By the way, you ever wonder how good he's gonna be at Forty - starting as young as he has, and drawing on all of the combined experience around him.

why you spend 600 bucks to buy a plastic toy, I would rather buy a chinese or russian TT-33, it is a real gun, it will still yell loud in aother 60 yrs, I just bought two Norincon Type 54, they work great, heavy metal, real guns.
