Glock 19 Barrel Swap

From what i've seen online... yes... have i tried it... no. I know exactly what you are thinking. Buy a gen 3 factory threaded barrel glock, a gen 4 lone wolf, swap the barrels, and sell off the gen 3 with the lone wolf. I've thought about doing the same!

Yes, Glock 19 gen 1 to 4 barrels all interchange, no issues. I have them all and have swapped around the barrels. The threaded barrel pistols have serial number matching barrels, so unless you strip the suppressor sights and the sticker on the box, I might get mad at you when I figure out what you've done. Unless it's really cheap and you're honest about it...

Yup I just bought a custom length KKM barrel in 106mm so I dont have to use the threaded barrel, and there is no difference when ordering between gen's. Same barrel will fit all gens.

Why does everyone want an OEM barrel thats threaded? Instead of a good quality aftermarket barrel? I didnt like lone wolf's stupid little wolf picture on the top of the barrel, or the SS look. However they do make blank marked ones, and even in black. Either way I still chose to go with KKM, they made me a 106mm barrel that is legal length for Canada and then I am having it PVD coated in my color choice. From what Zev tech has told me a KKM barrel is far better then the OEM Glock barrels threaded or not...

If you had a good quality legal barrel that isn't SS color and doesn't have any goofy markings, Id consider trading my threaded Glock barrel that I just bought and hasn't even had a single round fired through it yet

I'm pretty sure it's all that "Perfection" flavoured Kool Aid they've been drinking - Glock barrels are decent and all, but really I only bought my factory G19 because it was there, and it was cheap.

I just had a Glock 17 built for me by Zev, its at IRUNGUNS currently being exported for me. And I just ordered another custom 19 from them last week, both are using KKM barrels. They are a well known custom Glock builder in the US, they have many top level competitors that use their pistols and they only use KKM barrels for their builds....From what they have told me it is far better then the OEM Glock barrels in terms of accuracy.

The only advantage I can see the OEM barrels having is the ability to shoot pretty much any ammo, as they are a looser tolerance letting them feed even the cheapest ammo....You can see videos online of people comparing the fit of a casing in the different chambers of different brand barrels...Some have way better tolerance fit and more chamber support compared to OEM GLOCK

The "tactical" look of the threaded barrel was cool, but its wearing off one me...As I can never actually use a suppressor on it....And I had to change out the crappy plastic thread protector to a metal one, because the plastic one looked too cheesy. I guess you could want to use a compensator also?

Personally if Im going to own a compact gun, I want it to be as short as possible. So I had a barrel made just long enough to be legal, if we were aloud to actually use a suppressor in Canada then it would be different story
