Well I bought myself a new Glock 19 from our friends at Questar and I must say I love it. Fits better in my hand then my old G26 (although that was a sweet pistol) and it just feels better. I took it to the range yesterday for the first time and put 700 rounds through it. Everything mostly went well except that one 9mm round got jammed down the barrel. That was a fault of the ammo and not the gun itself. I could tell the gun was working hard as the lubrication became null and void after about 400 rounds and the slide seemed to be working harder to go back into battery when releasing it after a mag change. A couple of the mags had a failure to feed the last round on a few occasions but I'm breaking the mags in too. I bought a total of 5 mags and two of them don't like to receive that 10th round when charging the mags. I think that was directly related to the problem. They did seem to get a little better the more rounds I went though. While the gun shoots a little to the left for me I can always get the sight moved over a tad to compensate for it. All and all another great Glock and one that I plan on shooting lots. I bet it will make the 1000 round challenge after I break it in a bit more.

for some reason, the Glock 19, Sig P228, and Colt Commander all seem to me to be better pistols than the "full size" equivalent. (The Beretta 92 FM was better too)
