Glock 19 Gen4 Canadian Edition

My GF bought one a year ago. She likes it. I think it shoots pretty good but I have bigger hands and like the 19x a bit better. That being said I feel that the 48 has rendered the 19 kinda obsolete in Canada. Same 10 rounds one is a lot thinner. She has the 48 now but hasn’t shot it yet and neither have I but it sure fits her small hand well. I think we both will like the 48 better than her 19.

If you have average-sized hands, for general use, a Gen4 G19 is hard to beat. If you have very small hands, for general use, a G48 is hard to beat.

im one of the people that found the finger grooves land in the worst possible place thus making the pistol very uncomfortable in the hand.
you can of course sand them off or send them off to some place like 'Black Box' and have them do it for you.
reliability wise its very hard to beat any of the glocks.

i have a G17, G19, G19X and a G48 and i must say my fav is the G19X followed very closely by the G48.
you will know very quickly if it fits in your hand or not.

glock 19 is never a bad choice, but its not the only choice, if you can hold one, shoot it if you can, maybe you don't like the blocky feel, maybe you do. personally i like the way glocks feel, they shoot great, are very reliable, tons of aftermarket support, but some guys hate the blocky feel, maybe the finger grooves land on your fingers in the wrong place, its person to person. but quality, reliability and accuracy wise glock is a win

If there is any way you can get a chance to try the 19, 19x and the 48 at a range before purchasing....do so! You will know right there and then which one is for you. I did and the 19x came out way in front of the others.

I have a G19 Canadian edition. Honestly i don't love it. I can't shoot it very well, I have average size hands and find it smallish and oddly shaped. Now my go to pistol is a Shadow 2 so you could see how I see the 19 as inadequate. I basically bought it as a "collector" item bc of the maple leaf etc. I've shot it twice and it sits in my safe. For the money go buy yourself a CZ 75 variant or a Jericho as your first pistol. You'll be that much better of a shooter right off the bat with a nice steel single/double action pistol.

I like my 19 gen 4. Is it my favourite pistol? Prolly not but it’s still fun to shoot . It being the only glock I ever shot , I can’t compare to other gens but it’s fun no doubt

My recommendation would be to get a CZ P10C.

They're less expensive than a Glock and have a better trigger, better sights, and better ergonomics.

I like mine too. I got average hands and it fits well and it's very accurate. As other said it's always better to try a gun on range before you buy it. I think most of the people would be happy to let you try gun on range if you show interest or ask politely : )
