Glock 19 Problem

A family member of mine has a Glock 19, classified as prohibited. We were trying to do a transfer but I'm only licenced to aquire restricted and non-restricted weapons.

I'm wondering if a Glock 17 barrel would fit in the Glock 19? I'm hoping the added barrel length would allow it to be reclassifed as restricted.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have a better idea? Any advice or suggestions would really be appreciated.

No, the 17 barrel does not work in the 19.

You can buy aftermarket barrels that are 106mm or longer for the 19 in Canada.

Or, sell it and buy yourself a restricted 19 or a 17, rather than taking a 12(6) gun out of that class forever.

Edit: Questar has Lone Wolf barrels for the G19 in stock

yep you have to bring it to a gunsmith that would do the prohib to restricted transfer but you need the 106mm barrel you can buy different quality barrel. but beware there is a lot of poor quality barrel out there i prefer KKM jarvis bar sto or IGB. i have one IGB now i tried lone wolf before and would not go back

glockparts.com also has restricted barrels for sale which are legal for US export/CDN import.

I found their shipping prices to be quite reasonable.

I would easily pay $900-$1,000 for a NIB second generation G19. But it would have to be spotless.

I don't see the point when you can get a new Gen 3 for the same money.

Unless it's really unique (and the G19 isn't) a 12(6) pistol should be worth less money than it's restricted version.

G19 12(6)

Well, what about the one for sale in the EE for $1,025?
