The only places that sell them at all are Questar and Sporteque, and a few other retailers that have bought guns from one of those two importers.
When Questar or Sporteque import these guns, the factory barrels are a "write off". They cannot come in to Canada (if the gun is going to sold to an individual) and, from what I understand, they can't be re-sold in the U.S. (or wherever) either, so the "end user" (the individual buyer in Canada) has to bear the cost of both the original barrel and the new 105+mm barrel in order to make the importation of these guns economically feasible at all. This is why they are $300 more than a GLOCK 17/22. You buy two barrels. One you get, one you don't.
We have seen a glimmer of hope with the "new" (newly available) GLOCK factory threaded barrels. To my knowledge, a whopping two such barrels have been made available to Canadian gun buyer so far (I was lucky enough to get one of them). Who knows if more will become available, but the obvious question for Canadian fans of compact and subcompact GLOCKs is "Why can't they just mate the compacts up with the threaded barrels at the factory, and sell them to us that way, so we only have to pay for the barrel we actually get?"
So far there seems to be no prospect of GLOCK pistols shipping with threaded barrels in the U.S., let alone Canada. The threaded barrels are just an aftermarket accessory for now - and even those are hard to come by. GLOCK has never shown any interest in making compact or subcompact pistols available to the Canadian market, so I doubt they have any concern whatsoever about the prices people pay for them here. GLOCK has (in the past anyway) actually taken active steps to try and prevent their compact and sub-compact pistols from entering the Canadian market with aftermarket barrels.
For now the only way you can buy a compact or sub-compact GLOCK in Canada for less than $900 is to buy a police trade-in that has been rebarrelled, but I don't think this is being done anymore - as there are no more police trade-ins from Canadian police agencies the rules on this stuff seem to get a bit tighter all the time. I bought a rebarrelled police trade-in GLOCK 23 from Sporteque a couple of years (or less) ago for like $500. They had some 19's for awhile too. Of course this stuff is all long since sold. Check the EE, but I wouldn't hold my breath for a real steal. The GLOCK 19's are very popular and sell very quickly.
