Glock 19X Owners

It was us that sold it to him. Glock wants anyone that is missing one to email them and they will send it directly to the customer alone with some swag for it not being included. We directed the OP on how to get it sent to him. It also expedites the part getting there. The Glock Canada Rep emailed the OP back immediately saying they were sending the part out to him. We didn’t brush him off, we had him sorted out within 30 minutes even though he continued to send us hate mail after Glock Canada helped him out.

Ahhh...good to know the other side of the story. Thanks for clearing things up; seems like there was much ado about nothing.

Hate mail? That's really funny. I didn't want to mention who sold me the gun in my post but since you identified yourself I will respond. You were very dismissive in your first email and in your second email you stated that nowhere in your add does it say that the gun comes with a lanyard loop. Anyone buying a G19X knows that it is supposed to come with a lanyard. I even asked to to personally check the gun before you shipped it. Perhaps you should have been upfront about the lanyard not being there. But that's cool. There's lots of other dealers who will get my business.

Guess someone's gotta ask: "Is there any practical use for a lanyard loop for Canadian shooters, or is it just for show?"

I agree. I have no use for it but just based on principal and the fact that I paid for it I want it. I might sell the gun in the future and the new buyer might want it. In the end the matter got resolved. End of story.

Well! That was quick. Glock has already replied and they are mailing me the lanyard loop and some swag.

Great. On a side note, the Glock rep advised me that the G45 will be coming north of the border in 2019 if anyone is interested. I definitely want one!!

I have dealt personally with the Glock Canada rep. He met me on his own time to fix my issue on a 30 year old G19! And gave me swag to boot!
He is one upstanding fellow and I can’t recommend his service and response enough. His response to both of you proves my point.

I have the email from Glock to the dealers. It requests the dealer have the customer email Glock direct. I did and three weeks later the part and some swag were at my door.

Lighten up Francis.

That's what I did but the retailer doesn't want to deal with it. If I want it then I have to contact Glock directly. I don't think this is right. The retailer should take care of it.

Wait till you seat a mag wrong and jam it into your wrist. You'll feel pretty silly about this thread when you take it out and never put it back in. Not that you're ever going to use it anyways. Lol

Of course it'll never get used, but hey, it's a doo-dad the gun was supposed to be equipped with as part of the purchase price. But you never know...I might develop a taste for monocles, smart high ride cross draw holsters and over the shoulder lanyards.

I think it’s really just to complete the look of a military pistol. I much prefer the look and function of one of the low pro grip plugs.

I’m just waiting of the green registration on my new 19x. Can’t wait to go to the range with it.

I noticed the firing pin block has a different shape to the 19 Gen 4. I’m also thinking of polishing the trigger parts as per the YouTube experts. Anyone think this is worth it?

Or just dry/live fire it 10k times and it'll be polished plus you'll get a lot of practise time with it. If you do polish it and use a dremel make sure you use a polishing wheel. Congrats on getting a 19x.

Good to know. I will definitely be looking at the 45 in 2019 (Providing the Conservatives are the majority government).

I really like everything about the G19X except... the regular Glock sights. When I ordered, I made a mistake thinking that it would come with the Glock night sights as the non Shield ones do. I was a bit too quick to hit the buy button before finding out. The company selling them was clear on it, but it was after I had already bought. I'm not a fan of the standard Glock sights. The Glock's I've shot before had night sights or aftermarket so I wasn't aware that I would dislike the stock sight so much. Anyways I will ensure with the 45 that I get the upgraded sights. Live and learn I guess.
