Glock 20 Issue

So a friend of mine has a Glock 20 with about 50 rounds through it and has developed a problem. It is pretty much impossible to move the slide without extreme force. It has only been to the range twice and was cleaned and lubed after each trip. Has any one had an issue like this or any idea what may be wrong?

i assume this is without any empty shells or loaded ammo in the chamber?

has it only seen factory ammo or reloads?

did it have any fail to eject's/feed's when using it?

Not likey considering all Glocks run a full length guide rod and a stock spring is flatwire.

Time to hit the gym maybe? Just kidding, if the problem developed since it was new, I would look to see what is binding. Hate to ask, but was the gun dropped? Could it have been dropped?

There is always that possibility but I can't say for sure

sounds like someone installed their recoil rod and spring backwards or the slide isn't actually on the rails, but over them.

I have seen where the slide was re-installed with only one of the guide rails aligned properly. Check that.
