, IMO G22 is a bit snappy.10mm is powerful round, Glock make a good 9mm (that's what the gun was designed for) but IMO a steel gun like 1911 would be a better fit for 10mm cartrige.

The Glock is softer shooting than a steel framed gun because the polymer flexes during recoil. My G21 is noticeably softer to shoot than my Kimber, both in .45.
Glock is the perfect platform for 10mm. I've got a 10mm conversion barrel for my G21, and it's a pleasure to shoot. The full power 10mm loads can be hard to come by, but they're out there if you look, or you can reload.
One of the reasons the 10mm didn't really catch on is that the steel guns were shooting themselves apart with the full power loads. The Glocks don't have that problem, they just keep going and going........

I don't expect there is a 9mm conversion for the Glock 20 to shoot all that cheap 9mm ammo for practice?

I have had a G20 for about 3 years now but my first experiences with the 10mm where in 1987 when I purchased a Colt Delta Elite 10mm which I still have.
I have also been reloading for the 10mm since 1987 and have come up with some excellent reloads for every kind of use from 40S&W equivilant 180gr @ 900fps to 135grs @ 1850fps on up to 200grs @ 1300fps.
Due to this being one of my remote area carry handguns and to the top velocity loads that I carry/shoot I have done a few mods to my G20;
~ 5" KKM barrel
~ 24lbs Wolff recoil spring and uncaptured guide rod
~ Wolff 6lbs extra power striker (firing pin) spring
~ Aro-tek extended mag release
~ plug to close the hole in the bottom of the rear of the grip
~ Glock tactical light
~ Advantage Arms 22lr conversion kit
It has the stock adjustable sights on it still, I would like to change them and have been pondering for a while now but can't decide which sight system to get yet. I would also like to get a grip reduction done on it so that it gives me a more natural point of aim.

I have a 2nd generation G20 that I just recently bought. I absolutely love it! It's noticeably more accurate at 25 yards than any of my nines. It is a very powerful handgun that is also very controllable.
Of the four 10mm's I have owned to date; Smith 1006, Smith 1066, 3rd generation G20 and this one - it's my favorite!
Get one and have a blast with it, pun intended.

...and to add to what others have said, very soft recoil - seems to just push straight back into your palm

Thanks for reminding me... my Canadianized (Barsto) OD Glock 29 Should be arriving in February (been at least 4 months of waiting). I can hardly wait.
I got a .40S&W barrel for it as well - It's just a barrel swap and you are shooting economy vs. the expensive stuff
