I'm interested in a larger caliber Glock and looking at a 21 or a 20

Whats the differences between the 21 and 20 and which caliber is king 10mm or .45?

Skip the outstanding & best-on-the-market 10mm & gravitate to the Glock 21.

The G21 is the best 45acp auto on the market for all 45's under $1000.00.

10mm has so many negative issues that unless you are a die-hard 10mm aficionado, 45acp will always be a better value.

meh, S&W M&P has a better 45 than the G21

the argument of 10mm vs 45 comes down to several factors.
saying one is better than the other just does not cut it.
you need to know what you want to do with it, what your resources are, do you reload or will you be reloading?
if your just punching paper or do you have a need for a wilderness carry for your work or trapline?

here is a interesting article comparing the 2 nicely. (click me!)

i have probably a dozen 45's and i have 2x 10mm's and i can say without a doubt i shoot more 10mm than i do 45.
for me velocity and versatility is king.

I'll be getting a Glock 20 and then a Kriss Vector in 10mm so I could switch mags between them.
Reloading is a must.

If you go with the g21 and conversion barrel, you'll need/want to switch out to a g20 extractor as well for reliable feeding of 10mm.

Whichever caliber you choose, hand loading is the (only) way to go.

I’ve got a G20 and love it. I prefer the 1911 style pistols for shooting .45.

Remember you can, in theory, shoot 40 S&W out of the 20 as well even though the cartridge is not being headspaced by the case mouth. I don’t do this personally.

One of the posts in this thread also mentioned getting a Kriss Vector in 10mm - hard to find in Canada. I have one in 9mm but would like the extra velocity that the 10mm would offer for shooting out to 100 yards.

Glock 20 with separate springs for bear loads...&LIGHT target
Great for plinking with authority, sad I sold my G 20C.
Glock 40 has dual springs if I'm not mistaken.

Thought of that long slide,,, extra fps... but really ,,,
we cant hunt with our hand guns..my 0.02

i have a G40 and a G17C and if i ever see a G20C im buying it right on the spot, no questions asked.
to me the G20C would pretty much be the perfect Glock.
i really hope they do a Gen5 20C.

I have both. If forced to give up one, I'd keep my G20 (I reload 10mm). Neither gun gets a ton of range time.
