I'm thinking about getting rid of a 1911 and purchasing a Glock 21. Heres my question. Is the Glock 21 frame any larger/wider than the Glock 17. I've never handled a 21, but I've shot my friends 1st gen 17 and I like the way it fits my hand.

I have skinny fingers and my fingers are relatively average sized in length. I didn't have a problem with mine. Also, the .45 round fires very smoothly from this firearm. I enjoy it more than shooting .40 S&W from the model 22.

Here I am gripping my old friend, the Glock 21.

Thanks for the info guys. I was talking to my buddy and now I think I may be going with the Glock 17, as he is willing to trade it for my 1911. If anyone has any advice on purchasing a used Glock, I'll be posting another thread asking for pointers.

Unless it is a norc, a 1911 for a g17 sounds like a bad deal for you. You can get a new g17 for 639.00 at some of the sponsors.

The cheapest Glock I can find in stock is $675. It's a tad better than a Norc, but it is an off brand 1911. His G17 isnt completly stock either. Night sites, magwell, 3.5lb connecter, etc.
