Curious if anyone has had this issue, and may be able to offer some advice.
My Glock 21SF Gen3 slide release will not lock the slide back after last round fired.
I know it is not the mag itself as I have several with the problem occuring on each.
I replaced the slide stop lever with a new extended one, but am still having the problem.
The spring is also behind the locking block pin as it should be.
It will also not lock after sliding back on an empty mag.
I'm not a gunsmith or armorer by any means, but even as simple as the Glocks are to dissasemble and maintain, I'm stumped on this one.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks! :)

Sounds like you have a bunch of weak mag springs.
I just went through the same issue, turned out to be the mag springs on some older mags.

I'll have to check that. I have kept the mags loaded in a safe, so possibly the springs have weakened with the constant tension over time.
Thanks for that tip.

Yeah it was interesting troubleshooting.
Bought two different slide locks, no change.
Changed grip, tried one handed, no change.
I noticed one day at the range it wouldn't lock back dry cycling a empty mag.
Compared that mag to a brand new one I had and the difference was quit noticeable.

The strange thing is that when I cycle on an empty mag it will not lock, yet if I remove the slide and insert a mag into the well, it raises the stop lever just fine as it should. Put the slide back on with an empty mag and it fails.
Scratching my head on the one?????

Yes, my old mags do that too.
