I am looking for my second pistol in 45ACP. I already have a 1911.

I would consider a PPQ M2 or Sig P320 in 45ACP, but they are not available here.

I have shot the Glock 21 Gen 4 ($875) and liked it, but I have never handled a FNX-45 ($900). Has anyone shot both? Do you have an opinion on the DA/SA trigger on the FNX-45?

I might be willing to consider the Glock 41 ($955) too.

Yes, I absolutely love both. Surely you are familiar with the Glock trigger as you've shot it before. As for the FNX, it's the usual affair that you get with most da/sa pistols: heavy double action and a beautifully crisp and light single action . Most people would prefer the FNX and have an easier time becoming proficient with it, as is usual when it comes to striker vs. hammer pistols. The FNX trigger is actually very similar to the HK, which to me is a good thing.

The FNX has a more 1911-esque feel in the hand due to the grip and safety. This is most notable when you use the flat backstrap - a nice accommodation for fans of the 1911.

Both are very capable guns in terms of eating handloads and hitting your target where you want to.

I have both an fnx45 tactical and an hk45 compact tactical . I do prefer the hk . the trigger is far nicer and size is much more comfortable (to me) but b4 I got the hk mt fnx was my favorite 45. honestly if your choice is between the glock and the fn I would go the fn . its 100 tomes more gun and will never let you down . not to mention accuracy . it will punch a 4" group at 75yds. what more can you ask for.

I kept my G21 and my FNX 45 TAC, both are great shooting pistols...
I sold my P220 and my HK 45 those were more problematic with an ordinairy accuracy

I bought a M&P 45 , the trigger was heavy from the start, but a one hour job polishing the sear made the trigger a nice crisp 5 pounds, this pistol is still unfired... JP.

I have ran both more than a little bit. And the FNX 45 TAC is head and shoulders above the glock. Fnx trigger is outstanding sights are awesome. Controls are all well placed. Super accurate, light recoil for a 45.

Looking on the FN boards there seems to be some disagreement about whether the FNX-45 and FNX-45 TAC have the same triggers. Have you fired both?

Had an FNP45, which is very similar, and really liked it except for the fact that the safety, due to its position, interfered with my grip. If it wasn't for that, I would have kept it. Trigger was nice. That being said, I prefer my HK45 and Glock 20 (not a 21, but again very close), both of which fit my hand better.
